$40.00

Description

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of Achilles tendon ruptures, which is thought to be due to an increasing number of older adults participating in high-demand sports or activities. However, there is still controversy surrounding the best management strategy, with differing opinions on whether a repair is necessary. There are also different treatment strategies for healing the tendon, including non-operative care involving prolonged immobilization and early weight bearing, as well as operative care.
