Description
This chronic kidney disease (CKD) course was developed to provide healthcare professionals with the most recent knowledge, evidence-based practices, and clinical insights necessary for treating and managing CKD. It aims to enhance participants’ comprehension of CKD, its effects on overall health, and the most current strategies for diagnosis, risk assessment, lifestyle interventions, and treatment options.
Upon completion of the Advanced Management of Hyperlipidemia course, participants will be able to:
- Define and classify Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), outlining the various stages and their diagnostic criteria.
- Analyze the etiology and risk factors contributing to the development and progression of CKD.
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic criteria, including laboratory tests and imaging studies used to assess CKD.
- Understand preventative and treatment options for CKD.
- Recognize and manage common complications and comorbidities associated with CKD, such as cardiovascular issues, anemia, and bone/mineral metabolism abnormalities.
