This course is a concise and helpful reference guide intended for Physical and Occupational therapists to aid in the systemic differential diagnosis of patients experiencing neck and shoulder pain. The aim is to equip therapists with the necessary skills to determine the scope of therapy required or to identify if the patient needs to be referred to a medical provider. By recognizing the red flags, this approach saves time and resources. The course provides valuable resources that can be applied in clinical practice immediately. It will help therapists to improve their evaluation skills and assessment techniques.

Author: Dr. Rina Pandya, PT DPT, has an extensive physical therapy career that spans over 20 years through the UK, the USA, and the Middle East. She has worked in NHS (National Health Service) and American health care, providing PT services in acute care, in-patient rehab, skilled nursing facilities, home healthcare, and outpatient clinics. In addition to being a clinician, she has developed specialty programs based on evidence-based practice in her role as a project manager. She has also managed a Physical Therapy department as Department Head in a premier private hospital in Oman. Rina graduated from Manipal University, India, in 2000, and the University of Michigan, in 2018, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She has also been an educator and presented live seminars nationally and internationally. Rina is a member of the APTA, HCPC-UK, and OAP-Oman.
