Description
This course (Treatment of Neck Pain) provides current research concerning the evaluation and treatment of neck pain with an emphasis on the most recent Clinical Practice Guidelines for Neck Pain. The presentation will discuss etiology, risk factors, diagnosis, classification, and treatment considerations with a foundation on evidence based practice to allow physical therapists to make cost-effective and patient-centered decisions in the management of neck pain.
Upon completion of this course (Treatment of Neck Pain), you will be able to learn:
- Identify potential red, yellow, and orange flag symptoms commonly seen in patients with neck pain.
- Discuss pertinent portions of a comprehensive physical therapy examination for patients with neck pain.
- List the neck pain classification categories as suggested by the most recent Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Describe the most appropriate physical therapy interventions for neck pain based on the Clinical Practice Guidelines and the latest evidence.
