Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the most widespread sexually transmitted infection both in the United States and worldwide. It may lead to significant morbidity and mortality. This continuing education program aims to equip healthcare professionals with knowledge about HPV vaccines. These vaccines help prevent cervical and other cancers as well as HPV-related diseases.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: 

• List the types of HPV vaccine(s) available in the U.S.
• Describe the pathophysiology and epidemiology of HPV
• List the types of diseases the HPV vaccine may prevent
• Describe the HPV vaccination schedule
• Discuss the efficacy and safety data with HPV vaccines
