This course focuses on common youth sports injuries, emphasizing lower extremity injuries. The course includes information regarding the description, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of some of the most common lower extremity injuries in youth sports using the latest evidence and research. Participants will also learn about the impact of youth sport specialization, overtraining, and increased participation in sports at an early age. This course also includes preliminary information about preventative measures to decrease the risk of injury in youth sports.
