Description
This course provides an overview of sepsis. It gives in to the symptoms, risk factors, treatment dependent upon the source of infection as well as educational awareness. The focus of the course is a description of the diagnostic process involved in identifying the criteria for diagnosis of sepsis. The management of sepsis as well as septic shock is also discussed, highlighting the treatment of the disease dependent upon sources. The course closes by addressing the need for patient education as well as healthcare education. In this course, ones will also learn how to identify risk factors for an infection leading to sepsis.
