The Florida Physical Therapy Online 12 CE Renewal Package provides the necessary continuing education hours required for renewing your Florida Physical Therapists and Assistants License. It allows you to complete up to 12 of the 24 required hours through convenient online or home study courses. Please note that this package does not include any live continuing education sessions.

Florida Physical Therapy Online 12 CE Renewal Package Includes: No Exchanger Allowed

1. Reducing Medical Errors – 2 Hours (Mandatory)
2. Therapists Role in the Treatment of Dementia and Related Diagnosis – 4 Hours
3. Physical Therapy Management of Headaches – 4 Hours
4. Preventing Sarcopenia (Reduced Muscle Mass) – 2 Hours

Activity Type: Knowledge-Based Home Study 

Instructional Methods: An online, text-based self-study course with a post-test. This format is ideal for those who prefer independent learning at their own pace, without audio or video. Participants engage with written materials, creating a focused, distraction-free learning environment. The course also includes an assessment to evaluate understanding and retention. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass and receive a certificate of completion.

No more than 12 hours may come from home study courses. All licensees must complete 2 hours on the Prevention of Medical Errors for each licensure renewal cycle.

Licenses issued in the second half of the biennium are exempt from the renewal requirements, except for 2 hours of Prevention of Medical Errors and 1 hour of HIV/AIDS.

Course Completion Certificate:  A minimum passing score of 70% is required for course completion. A Printable (PDF) Certificate By Email. Credit will be reported to the CPE monitor within 30 days of completion.
