Description

Running has become a very popular form of exercise, but injuries are quite common among runners, with the majority of these injuries involving the lower extremities. It is important for clinicians to gather a comprehensive patient history and conduct appropriate tests to make an accurate diagnosis. The purpose of the Management of Running Injuries course is to help clinicians properly diagnose and treat running injuries.

Upon completion of the Management of Running Injuries course, you will be able to: 

• List the most common running injuries involving the lower extremity.
• Describe each of the most common conditions, including potential mechanisms of injury and risk factors.
• Evaluate the injured runner in the clinic.
• Develop injury-specific treatment plans using current evidence.
• Incorporate a return to running program with guidelines for pain and soreness.
